![]() ![]() The game has most of the old school turn-based RPG elements in it, but with a few tweaks that I will explain below. It gives you everything you can expect from a story driven game This time, I knew, the time was finally right. Years passed, I raised the boy (and another) and one day I came across to a great article on Gamasutra titled “ Why All of Our Games Look like Crap”, thanks to which I heard about the Queen’s Wish: the Conqueror. So I laid down instead to read from my list of lovely books, long neglected due to games. ![]() But unfortunately, I was too pregnant to sit in front of a computer for 50+ hours just to follow a good story. Jeff Vogel was working on the Avernum series back then, and as I pretty much adored story-driven turn-based RPGs like Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Arcanum, etc., I knew exactly that he was making my kind of games. Characters you create in the additional slots stay completely naked (which is actually how I realized it, as the portrait is also "shoulder free" there).I first found out about Jeff Vogel and his company Spiderweb Software in 2011 when my husband decided to make his own indie-game and started reading about every indie-developer out there. ![]() And only characters you create in the slots of the previously existing ones. However I don't think it's supposed to equip new characters with new equipment. Is that an exploit though? I could have sworn, and maybe I'm mistaken because a lot of little tutorial messages were popping up here and there in the beginning, that there was a message advising how to manage deleted character equipment? It's saying that the equipment of deleted characters is going into the stash. It's only tiny amounts of gold, but probably not working as intended, considering characters in other slots are empty. So if you delete and recreate them, the equipment will be duped (one into stash, one on the new character).
